    • William left a will dated 1 April 1872 & proved 21 June 1872 at Wakefield. He named his wife, Jane, his son, William and Joseph Hartley a railway bookkeeper from York, as his executors.

      He left two properties in Skellgarths, Ripon to his wife for her use until her death. They were then to be passed down to his son, William. Willia's daughter, Mary was given an annuity of £7 a year from the rents of these properties. His furniture, household & personal effects & money were left to his wife.
